The sculpture “Plommonet” (The plum), in bronze and beautiful, dark-green enamel, is displayed in the experimental garden in Herrgårdsparken, Köpmanholmen. Hedberg’s works of art can be found in a large number of museums and private collections all over the world but it was Köpmanholmen, the place where he grew up, that he came back to every summer.
a Swedish sculptor who was born in 1917 in Köpmanholmen. First and foremost famous for his sculptures which are inspired by nature. Hans Hedberg died in 2007 in Biot, France.
A foundation has been set up to administer this donation. Its name is Stiftelsen Sigrid, Johan och Jonas Nätterlunds minnesfond (Sigrid, Johan and Jonas Nätterlund Foundation Memorial Fund).
The administrators/municipal executive committee make decisions regarding the purchase of art and sculptures. The donation is invested in stocks and the annual return is used to purchase painting and sculpture for installation in public spaces in Sidensjö and Nätra.
