Drawing on inspiration from the site, the land rise and the rocky hilltop, the artist has created Näskom. A work of art made of granite which has been split in two by man, symbolically mirroring the hilltop at Slåttdalsskrevan which has been split in two by nature.
born in Köpmanholmen but now living in Stockholm, has studied at Konstfack, the University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. In 2009 she was elected as a member of the Swedish Royal Academy of Fine Arts.
A foundation has been set up to administer this donation. Its name is Stiftelsen Sigrid, Johan och Jonas Nätterlunds minnesfond (Sigrid, Johan and Jonas Nätterlund Foundation Memorial Fund).
The administrators/municipal executive committee make decisions regarding the purchase of art and sculptures. The donation is invested in stocks and the annual return is used to purchase painting and sculpture for installation in public spaces in Sidensjö and Nätra.
